The thermal printer is generally adopts single thermal head structure, with the structure of the system in further improve the printing speed, to overcome difficulties in two aspects:on the one hand is the thermal printer existing control system, data processing speed is very difficult to raise; On the other hand even one-sided improve the control performance of the system, printers, key components, including the thermal print head of manufacturing difficulty will increase, and increase the manufacture cost.In order to make the thermal printer on the print speed can be improved, in this paper, on the basis of the original single thermal printer head to design a control system with a double row of thermal printer head. Analysis of thermal printing process and working principle and the need to pay attention to the conditions(2) The SOPC system in detail. Through the introduction of the development process of SOPC system, using Nios build smallest system, thermal printer peripheral circuit control system, at the same time to prepare for this topic the whole control system.(3) Build experimental platform. Completed test platform floor hardware circuit design, divide the whole system into multiple modules are designed using the idea of module partition, using Quartus II design system based hardware, complete double control system hardware program design, build a custom module and embedded to the SOPC system. On the basis of SOPC system, the system software platform is built with IDE Nios. Final implementation of the overall system construction.(4) Verification of modules. In the experimental platform, a single module is verified, which is verified by the whole control system and some special cases in the process of verification.
