As modern science and technology advances, the number and type of electronic equipment are increasing, which make the electromagnetic environment become more and more complicate. In the meantime, the integration level of electronic devices becomes higher and higher, while their anti-interference ability declines. Therefore, it is important to keep the electronic devices running properly in the complicated electromagnetic environment and reduce electromagnetic interference among them, which bring forward higher demand on the electromagnetic compatibility of electronic products like mobile phones. Before any electrical equipment hits the market, the test on its electromagnetic compatibility is unavoidable. At the beginning of the paper, the development background of electromagnetic compatibility is introduced, the research approaches, types of EMC/EMI are illustrated and the requirements on test sites, environment and devices are analyzed. Based on these materials, the author tests the indicators of electromagnetic radiation in course of using cell phones from two aspects: one is electromagnetic disturbance; the other is electromagnetic immunity. In addition, the mobile phones’ effects on the public power grid in their working process are discussed and analyzed as well as their resistance to the interference produced by other devices and electricity systems; it also illustrates various mobile phones index by means of semi-anechoic chamber, fully anechoic chamber, peak detector test methods, etc., making its index meet national standard specification requirements.Based on the test for wireless communication devices like mobile phones, the author can assess whether a mobile phone meets its requirement and standard and whether the radiation indicators of mobile phones is below standard in the course of using a mobile phone. The paper shows that as an effective electromagnetic compatibility analytical testing technology, the test methods put forward by this paper are valid and bear a good value of reference.
