Informatization construction plays a more and more important role in the modern enterprise. As an effective measure of realize the enterprise construction, workflow technology has been widely used in application. However, with the popularization of internet and the development of the Web technology, the traditional workflow system can’t meet the needs of users. Many applications are transplanted into the web platform, the demand and scale in corresponding software are kept increasing, so that the development of workflow system become very complicated. Based on this situation, the author proposes to develop workflow components which conform to the standards, strong commonality and Web-based. Thus using the reusability of component, the workflow system development is also been simplified.This paper introduces the technology of workflow and component respectively. First, by a detailed analysis of the workflow reference model, the process meta-model and the state transition of instance, in-depth understanding of the workflow operation mechanism, it provides a clear idea for the design of workflow components. Then, the process and advantages of component-based software development is been introduced and the work principle of IntraWeb is been analyzed, which provides theoretical support for the realization of the workflow components.The main contents of this paper are analysis, design and implementation of workflow component based on web. By abstracting the different business process, designing the component model of workflow system. It combines workflow technology and component technology, to achieve true software reuse. On the basis of the model, this paper designs the workflow components, then details the functions and implementation process of the template component, initialization component and other workflow components. Finally, taking the temporary power failure process as an example to explain how the workflow components deploy and apply in actual system development.Through theoretical and practical research, it shows that using the Web-based workflow components development system not only can reduce the repetitive work of developers, lower development difficulty and shorten the development time, but also can improve the quality of the application system, increase the flexibility and maintainability of the system. At the same time, it also reduces the cost of informatization construction of enterprises.
