Data Mining For Police Affairs Application

In the era of big data, it impacts our lives from several views. Especially for the public security organizations, it is a challenge and also an opportunity. Recently, with the fast development of information technology, current police data center cannot support the management and analysis both in cale and frame for the high-volume data. It also effects the prediction and decision of public security. It is an emergence for the public security organization to build a large database. At the same time, data mining has strong ability in applying and generalization for large and growing number of police data. Besides, it can also make the work more informative, scientific and modern and strengthen the police with science and technology. Therefore, we should build police data analysis platform, analyze all kinds of information, video data and excavate information. Then it’s necessory to find implicit and valuable information or data and put them into practice. It includes huge amounts of data applications, digging and comparison works, and the synthesis of these technologies.Through data mining procedures, it is good for improving the police informazation. It will also promote the work efficiency and the mass foundation.Through the analysis of the reform and challenges of big data, we study the data mining method and technology. Based on the data sources of citizen departure data and case data, we analyze the data, builds the multi-dimensional modles and then put them into practice.The main works are as follows:1. Understand the characteristics of the current police data and big data. Public security big data is a kind of "big data", which is of large volume and fast growth. There are many different kinds of data resources, which are very rich, of different structure and low density. It is also quite sensitive to time.2. Build police data warehouse. Data extraction, cleaning, transform, load and refresh are implemented to update the data warehouse. The middle layer is the OLAP server; The top is the front-end client layer, including query and reporting tools, analysis and data mining tools.3. The construction of police multidimensional data model. Basic technology is data cube and OLAP online analysis.The classification method is based on numeric data and nonnumeric data. The star model was used to construct multidimensional data model, made up of fact table and dimension table.
