To deal with the problem of fabric rope opening machine which was low automatic degree, inefficient work and intensive labor, meridian skew detection method based on machine vision is proposed in this thesis. Machine vision detection is widely spread and deeply studied in the world. This thesis focused on the algorithm of image processing and Hough transform line extraction, the fabric warp offset angle were obtained by a serious of algorithm to processing image of fabric and experiments were carried out to prove in this thesis. The result of the experiments supported that meridian skew detection method which can obtain the angle of the fabric warp offset could be used for fabric rope opening machine,because the accuracy of angle is 0.01°and the error range is between 0.01°and 0.06°.The following aspects were included in this thesis:(1) Designed the process of image processing, made the fabric image for image preprocessing, image segmentation, morphological analysis and feature extraction, prepared for Hough transform.(2) Researched a improved algorithm of Hough transform line extraction, obtained the angle of fabric warp offset by the improved algorithm.(3)Studied the working principles of CCD image sensor,selected the appropriate CCD image sensor.(4)Carried out some experiments of detection of angle of fabric warp offset, including the program debugging and experiments with different color and density of the fabric;analysed the error of experimental results.
