As a branch of computer technology, the computer vision developed rapidly in recent decades. It has wide application in the fields of Industrial, military, scientific research, medical. Computer vision research begins from pattern recognition in 1950's,and the research focus on analysising and recognitioning two-dimensional image. Such as character recognition, surface quality inspection, micrograph analysis, airlines image identification.. In 1960s, professor Roberts(1965) had compiled program to get three-dimensional structure from digital image such as cube, prism and so on. And described the relationship between object shape and object space. It gave great inspiration to people. Many people belived that simple three-dimensional world can be comprehension and also popularized to more complex three-dimensional scene. So in-depth study about three-dimensional world. The scope of research and analysis has expended from feature extraction(such as image edge, angle, spot) to geometric elements(includelines, plane, surface), until limage light and dark, texture, trajectory, imaging process,also established data structure and inference rule. In 1980's, professor Marr commited himself to researching about vision theory in artificial intelligence laboratory in MIT and put forward computation theory of vision. Marr's theory combined with major research results from Psychology, physiology, mental physiology. Marr's theory is the most complete vision the theory so far.Automatic filling technology has wide application in petroleum industry, chemical industry. Automatic filling technology becomes an important indicator of the standard of industrial modernization.Because of incresing of market demand, developping to have self-determination intellectual property automatic filling equipment is one of important thing in development of petrochemical industry.This article according to working requirements under the automatic filling machine and context of computer vision technology, puts forward a method about locating Center coordinates of barrle, desines an automation software system to achieve Automatic filling line process. We can do following works:(1) Descripe the significance of the research, summarise The concept of computer vision technology, Key Technologies and application research situation,introduce the Main content.(2) Elaborate the system relate to basic algorithm of image processing(include Binarization, image enhancement method, implementation process of extracting image features). Select the image processing algorithms which related to system.(3) Propose general planning proposal of hardware system. Hardware system contains feed pipe running system, transmission system, weigh system, control system, electric power system. Also put forward hardware framwork, elaborate method to desine various parts of hardware and selection components.(4) According to the material characteristics of barrel bucket mouth, research algorithm about denoise image, image enhancement, edge detection, hough transform. Desine method of locating center coordinates of barrle, run sucessfully in VC++ 6.0 platform.(5) Programe control system of automatic filling software, achive control system(include transmission system, feed pipe running system, feeling system) and each module of auxiliary system.
