Fabric inspecting machine has higner demand for real-time performance and accuracy, so the digital image processing system must have ability to run complex and flexible algorithms, and have ability to handle massive iamge data. In this dissertation, a research has been made on DSP+FPGA image processing system in fabric inspecting machine.The dissertation describes the entire hardware design process for the image processing system. Hardware platform for image processing system includes the minimum system, CCD iamge data acquisition module, data communication module and external memory module. The minimum system consists of power supply circuit, clock circuit, reset circuit and FPGA configuration circuit. The data communication module consists of FPGA and DSP communication interface circuit, RS232 communication interface circuit and Ethernet communication interface circuit. The external memory module consists of FPGA and FLASH interface circuit, FPGA and SRAM interface circuit. The dissertation also describes the entire software design process for the image processing system. System software design includes DSP startup program design, Niosâ…ˇprograms design and DSP implementation of wavelet algorithm. Niosâ…ˇprograms consist of network adapter driver, network communication programs, image storage module and other.The fabric image contains sampling noise, so the dissertation also has made a research on application of fabric image denoising based on wavelet transform and DSP implementation.
