Assistant climbing device is an equipment that can provide an auxiliary pulling strength when somebody is climbing. It is popular used in barrel towers of wind power station and can give helpful power for the people who need climb up with ver-tical ladder and increase people works efficiency and safety.This thesis primarily studies the common assistant climbing device works theory and main functions. With market survey and talk with the end user, the normal assis-tant climbing device has poor functions to control, not flexible in operating, high price and other deficiencies. By using a new mode with MCU control the device di-rectly, the original equipment has been upgraded new functions and not only keep the old device performance but also extend the device functions, save cost for every equipment, reduce the device size and provide hardware support port for extend func-tions in the future.This thesis record and analyze the assistant climbing device parameters in every kinds working mode and status. Basing on understand the device works and environ-ment requirement, By using MCU control all movement of equipment keep the orig-inal performance and extend item functionality. Overcome the practical problem such as interface matching between MCU and sensor, anti-interference in harsh environ-ments and improve the MCU real controller program works dependability, in finally implemented to reform assistant climbing device, pass the acceptance of works and quantity production, importantly it was approved by the end customer.This product design and practice provide a complete solution project of using MCU control the industrial assistant climbing device, it has a reference value to de-sign industrial product which can content the real requirement of customer and give some value experience in project manage how to balance the time costs and product manufacture cost.
