Design And Implementation Of Auto Insurance Underwriting System Based On Ilog Rule Engine

Faced with the expansion and internationalization of the domestic auto insurance market, auto insurance business has been conducted in various provinces and cities nationwide with the expansion of the insurance business. Under the influence of the features in the Internet era:"perfectness, reputation, and rapidness", the original C/S framework in underwriting business of auto insurance (V5 core business systems:the 5th generation insurance underwriting system) cannot quickly meet demands from business in corporations, which triggers the development of a new insurance underwriting business system based on B/S framework (V6 core business systems: the 6th generation insurance underwriting system).The primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:(1)Through the research of present situation domestic and foreign auto insurance underwriting systems, the structure of different system is analyzed,the advantages and disadvantages of system between abroad and home are compared. Key technology which applied to auto insurance underwriting system is analyzed.It mainly includes that the application of Browser/Server, Hierarchical Structured DM and ODM Rule Engine in the financial industry.(2)The business processes of auto insurance underwriting system is analyzed. Based on it, the functional and non-functional analysis is carried on the auto insurance underwriting system. The whole design of system application is provided for the general framework.(3)The auto insurance underwriting system is designed and implemented, supported by application of Database, function of auto insurance underwriting system and ODM Rules Engine.This part mainly focuses on main functions of the database from auto insurance underwriting system.The design of the auto insurance underwriting system should approach from the underwriting and marking. Each functional module contains the premium calculation, submission of underwriting and issuing insurances upon fees. The ODM Rules Engine is designed from Subcontract and RuleFlow.(4) The testing scheme of the system with functional testing and performance testing is described.And the application effect of system is showed.The B/S framework and ODM Rules engine are adopted technically so as to realize premium calculation and automatic underwriting, and achieve a pluggable modular design of business rules and systems. The auto insurance policy underwriting system is changed the situation of the low efficiency and the complex in the policy rule management, reduced the cost of the system, enhanced the stability of the system, which meet the needs of the insurance company’s rapid growth in business.
