Survival And Development Of The Western Region Urben TV Host

With the support of "Go West" policy proposed by Chinese government in recent years, the media influence and market share, etc. of western city televisions has been improved rapidly, the western city television hosts get more chances and opportunities.In this research, the survival and development conditions of the western city television hosts were studied. Research data was collected and collated though investigation questionnaires and SPSS and analyzed by using theory of media ecology and social research methods. Our study focuses on the western television host profiles,television host city survival and development of surveys and data analysis including "Basic situations", "Current Situation and Development", "pressure situation" and "basic information" four links. Moreover, the survival and development issues of the western city television host were discussed and some specific proposals were were also put forward to solve the problem.The research shows that the western city television hosts face strong impact of new media. It is also found that the lagging upgrading speed of hardware equipment and infirm belief for sticking to their posts were more prominent problems compared to other issues. In this end, specific advices were proposed on several aspects, such as asylum policy, identifying the host niche, establishing a "symbiotic" awareness,enhancing professionalism and skills levels and improving the working environment and other aspects,to improve the living environment and enhance career development for television host...
