Active magnetic bearing(AMB) is a new mechatronic bearing which regulating the electromagnetic force to support freely the rotor. It has the advantage such as: no contact, no wear, no lubrication, low power consumption, no pollution, high control precision, suitable for high-speed, so has broad prospect used in high-speed and precise industrial bearings. Meanwhile, the supportive characteristics of AMB can be real time adjusted by control strategy, online monitor and control the rotor’s working situation, real time active control the rotor’s unbalance vibration to solve the rotor’s unbalance vibration problem. This paper is focused on switching power amplifier of AMB; analyze the performance effect of AMB system, finish the hardware design.Base on that, setting up the single degree of magnetic bearing experiment platform to research how to control the unbalance vibration.Firstly describe the development status of active magnetic bearings and the power amplifier, after introduce the composition of AMB and the theory of power amplifier, analyze the parameter which will affect the function of power amplifier.Then compare the difference of pulse principle and power topology, detailed introduce the all link of switching power amplifier designed by this paper: power topology, PWM modulation technology, isolated drive of power tube, current feedback. Through experiment to measure the linearity, frequency response, current rate, step response and current ripple, then analyze power and switching frequency affect the above preferment to choose the suitable parameters to meet the require of AMB.Finally finish the HILS single degree of magnetic bearing experiment platform which based on matlab/simulink real-time simulation system. Finish the adaptive vibration controller based on LMS algorithm in this experiment platform. Through experiments to verify the controller can curb the unbalance vibration. When the vibration changed, vibration control signal can be adaptive following, then through experiment to analyze property parameters and anti-noise performance of the vibration controller.
