The Design And Realization Of Computerized Automatical Course Scheduling System In Vocational Colleges

With the fast development of information technology, almost all the vocational colleges have established perfect information management system, of which the teaching affairs management system is the core. In the teaching affairs management, course scheduling, which lets the teaching staff and students know where and when the classes are supposed to be given, is the first guarantee for good teaching effects. Only with reasonable arrangement can the teaching go smoothly. While on one hand, the traditional methods of arrangement require too much hard work and time and are apt to cause mistakes; on the other hand, the computerized course scheduling system used now has flaws such as complexity and lack of general utilization. So an efficient automatic course scheduling system suitable for vocational colleges is in great need in modern teaching affairs management.This thesis not only puts forward a proposal for new arrangement system based on time segment priority algorithm through careful analysis of the system and its tendency, but also designs a totally new system for various course scheduling requirements using VB6.0 and SQLSERVER 2005.
