Research On ZigBee Security Architecture And Key Technology Of Key Distribution

ZigBee is a newly developed short distance wireless network technology, which is now widely used in smart house, industry monitor, smart communication, city management, health care and environment monitor etc..With the using of ZigBee network, ZigBee network security issues have become more and more popular gradually. Based on analyzing ZigBee security service specification, ZigBee MAC layer security architecture, ZigBee network layer security architecture and ZigBee application layer security architecture, The deficiencies of original ZigBee security architecture are found and ZigBee security enhanced architecture are built.Then, master key pre-distribution scheme and link key distribution scheme with authentification for ZigBee network are designed.Firstly, through the deeply study of ZigBee security architecture, aiming at the deficiencies of original ZigBee security architecture, improving the functions of ZigBee application layer and security service provider of ZigBee specification, ZigBee security enhanced architecture is designed, which can provide guidance for the design of ZigBee key distribution scheme.Secondly, analyzing the problem of lack of security in ZigBee master key pre-distribution process of the original ZigBee specification, through in-depth study of Blom key pre-distribution model, according to different topology of ZigBee network, the master key pre-distribution scheme is designed.At last, when ZigBee nodes compose a network, there is lacking of identity authentication. We propose a ZigBee link key distribution scheme by using additive group on elliptic curve and based on the idea of identity-based cryptography. This scheme bears the strongpoint of identity-based authentication scheme.On the basis of analyzing ZigBee specification and ZigBee security architecture, this paper studies the way for designing and implementing of ZigBee key distribution, which will help enhance the security level of ZigBee technology.
