For long-term bedridden with severe disabilities and disabled elderly, They need regular bathing and cleaning the body, all these require specialized nurses to help finish, the research of patients with severe disability assisted bathing appliance is aimed at the above persons, the requirement of the control system design of patients with severe disability assisted bathing appliance is:The bath bed can be automatically lifting, and through the lifting of the patient’s upper body and legs to change the posture of the patient, which is convenient for patients with scrub. The design of the control system is based on the gesture recognition of Kinect, using gestures to control the motors to achieve a series of actions. According to the design requirements of the control system, in this paper the main work and the research content:(1) First, a brief introduction to the research background and research status at home and abroad, the prospects for the development of the auxiliary apparatus system for disabled people. In recent years, Domestic pay more attention to the research of auxiliary appliance system for disabled people, and it has made some research achievements.(2) The overall design of the patients with severe disability assisted bathing appliance control system, depicted the structure diagram of the control system and software system flowchart, control system is designed for use with modular, the whole control system consists of 4 parts:PlayStation move Kinect gesture signal acquisition module, gesture recognition module of PC, communication between PC and MCU as well as three single-chip module, the main control circuit module which makes ATmegal6 microcontroller as the core, and for device of each functional module made selection and analysis.(3) Kinect gesture signal acquisition module, analysis and research on the Kinect acquisition principle, laid the theoretical foundation for the study of gesture recognition.(4) Gesture recognition module of PC, first analysis of gesture recognition theory, and then through the research of OpenNI module theory to realize gestures recognition algorithm. Finally, according to the function of the control system requirements, the modules function is realized.(5) Communication module, includes two parts:asynchronous serial communication of PC and ATmegal6 microcontroller, the ATmegal6 microcontroller TWI communication. Hardware and software of two kinds of communication mode is designed and researched respectively.(6) The main control circuit module which makes ATmegal6 microcontroller as the core, the design and analysis of hardware and software of Brushless DC motor and linear actuator control circuit, and the design and analysis of the microcontroller peripheral circuit.(7) Testing and debugging of the control system, completed the assembly of the whole system hardware, and finally, the control system are summarized and prospected.
