The Design And Development Of WebGIS System On Cable Survey Process Management

With the development of urban modernization, the scale and amount of urban underground cable expands increasingly, the structure has become more and more complex, besides the existing cable information is fragmentary. As a result, the cable survey becomes the key part of the construction and development of the smart city. However, the current urban underground cable survey methods are outdated and the survey process management isn’t normative, modern cable survey methods and process management system should be introduced into urban underground cable survey to satisfy the development demand of urban underground cable. With the development of WebGIS technology, more and more cable survey process management systems have introduced it into their system design and development. Based on WebGIS technology, this paper designs and develops the WebGIS system on cable survey process management, realizing the quick survey and storage of underground cable, and the management of the cable survey process. The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper summarizes background and meaning of the research, as well as the domestic and overseas status of the urban underground cable survey. The key technology of GIS employed in the WebGIS server system like Open Layers, PostgreSQL and GeoServer, together with the SSH framework is introduced. In addition, the RFID technology and the SQLite database applied in the cable data acquisition system are also well described.Secondly, the thesis provides the general analysis of the market demand, social and economic benefits, and functional requirements. The detailed functional requirements of WebGIS server system and cable data acquisition system are offered. The design and detailed function description of cable data acquisition module, data import and export module, GIS function module and cable survey process management module are given, respectively.Thirdly, the cable data acquisition system is a kind of data acquisition APP based on android that chooses Highmoral map to offer map service, aiming at acquiring the information of RFID, photos and location of urban underground cable, and the relevant survey track information quickly. The information acquired is stored and managed in SQLite database.Fourthly, the WebGIS server system chooses GeoServer to offer free map service, makes OpenLayers to be the WebGIS development framework, and introduces PostgreSQL + PostGIS to provide data service.Finally, the data acquisition system realizes the acquisition and storage of the information of RFID, photos, survey track, cable properties, etc. The system offers the data export and other functions as well; The WebGIS server system implements the data import, various ways to query survey record, visualization of survey data, cable survey process management, integrated management of the whole project and other functions.At present, the WebGIS system on cable survey process management has been put into practical use somewhere in Zhejiang province, and achieves good performance and response.
