As an important method of apperceiving physical world, sensor network has gone deeply into most aspects of people’s life, from smart phone to military and national defense, we can nearly see the exist of sensor network everywhere. The rise and rapid development of wireless communication technology has brought great convenience to people’s work, production and life. Through combining the advantage of sensor network and wireless communication technology, wireless sensor network has gained widely used and researches in many fields. However, wireless communication data is very complex and the problem that it’s difficult to be observed and analyzed by naked eye has brought some difficulties to the research of wireless sensor network. And the non-portable characteristic of wireless sensor network data analysis instrument based on PC platform caused inconvenience in some application environment. Therefore, this thesis designs and implements a wireless sensor network’s data monitoring and analysis instrument on the mobile platform, using hardware to capture data sent by sensor nodes, and showing the complex data in a clear and orderly way by software analyzing, it can help researchers understand and research properties of wireless sensor network more deeply. And compared to the high price of foreign products of the same kind, our product costs very low and has a significant price advantage.As the demand analysis above, the purpose of this thesis is to design a third side wireless sensor network data capture, monitoring and analysis instrument, this instrument is mainly composed of hardware and software. The main function of hardware is to capture data; the software can not only analyze all MAC layer frame stipulated by IEEE 802.15.4 protocol, but also can detect network’s topology by analyzing protocol frame and draw topology structure of the current network. Use the hierarchical design as software’s main architecture, separating data processing from display, meanwhile, in the data processing layer, we also design and implement a variable capacity thread pool, improve the efficiency and real-time data processing. In the topology visualization module, this thesis presents an improved force-directed placement algorithm in order to solve the conflict problem in large scale network layout graph drawing, this algorithm is more efficient while ensuring accuracy and beauty of the graph. In the experimental part, this thesis analyze the static structure of the monitoring and analysis software by using a mature software network analysis method, find the defects in software structure and put forward some suggestions for improvement in order to guide the development of subsequent versions.
