The Designing And Implementation Of SNMP-based Monitor System Of Local Network Equipment

Thanks to the rapid development of the network and the maturity of the network hardware management, the network management software is been promoted constantly. In accordance with the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), the thesis analyzes the structure of the Management Information Base (MIB), the abstract syntax notation and the specific protocol data unit in the SNMP. On the above basis, taking the concept of SNMP as reference, the thesis describes the design of the local network monitor system based on SNMP and its four major modules including configuring and scanning, data collection, data processing and auxiliary function. The thesis mentions the main design concept and realizing method on the coordination and switching of the function modules. The thesis focuses on the structure model of the software, the operation of the equipment by using the SNMP agent and the monitor on the condition of the network equipment. Aiming at the feature of the network management software, the thesis stipulates the communication agreement between its own protocol data unit and each module, and explains the relevant key technology in details.
