With the rapid development of social economy, applied talents is more and more recognized and appreciated by all walks of life. National education department launched the "application of the reform of university of science and technology strategy research" project at the end of January 2013, the purpose is to learn from the successful experience of the European university of science and technology application, for exploring the construction of applied higher education system of our country. In cultivating applied talents in various colleges and universities, the laboratory is an important part of the whole teaching system, it has a pivotal position. The laboratory management level directly affects the experiment, practice teaching link of teaching quality and teaching effect.Traditional laboratory management mainly uses the working mode of manual management; However, there is a large workload, low efficiency, waste of resources and other issues, it makes experiment teaching and management lack of humanization, seriously affecting the effects of experimental teaching. With the progress of social science and technology, the computer network technology and communication technology are developing rapidly, it makes effective, comprehensive and the information of experiment management has become more and more popular in colleges and universities[1]. In the new mode of exploration, the advantage of laboratory management system is coming true. With the change of the management mode, teachers and students’ time is more flexible and more proactive. In teaching and learning process, they improve the effect of teaching and learning and effectively reduce the labor intensity of the laboratory management personnel, at the same time, it also has the positive significance during promoting the students’ quality education.This paper aims at the existing problem of laboratory management, I design a based on C/S(Client/Server) structure of laboratory management system. System Server operating system uses a Windows Server 2003, software development uses the Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 programming environment and SQL Server 2005 database system combination, the designing language uses C # language. The system uses UML(Unified Modeling Language) in the design, therefore, system model is established and I use it to analyze case and domain. System is divided into four total login modules, respectively: student login module, teacher login module, laboratory administrator login module, and system administrator login module. According to the different requirements of each role, I set up different permissions and interfaces. The system mainly consists three major functions: laboratory teaching management, lab asset management and lab reservation management. Among them, the function of the laboratory teaching management is: to the laboratory information, taking the course of the laboratory, and the specific projects of experiment course for the database to add and delete operation. Lab assets management, it mainly opens to lab manager permissions, it can database operations in all kinds of information. Lab reservation parts: students and teachers can apply for free lab within the fixed time, then the lab manager audits and sent the audit results to the booking party.This system has good practicability and extensibility, it greatly reduces the labor intensity of the laboratory management, and improves the professional level and efficiency of the lab management. At the same time, it promotes the combination of theory teaching and experiment, practice teaching, it also effectively improves the students’ comprehensive ability.
