| In recent years, the modernization of the world’s economy has been tremendously developed, especially in China where the consumption rate has been greatly increased. This means that people are willing to spend more time and money on traveling and purchasing, bringing enormous demand to the hotel industry throughout the country. With the lightning-speed growth of the nationwide market of hotel reservation, the entire hotel industry is looking for a new profit model for maximizing their profit. A traditional hotel reservation scenario comes with geo-locational restriction, because guests have to visit hotel reception desk for booking. Therefore online reservation, regardless of this regional restriction, allow customers to reserve hotel rooms anywhere and anytime they want. The problem of user facing the shortage of rooms will no longer exists, thanks to online booking service which provides various choices from hotels in such region. It provides online payment as well, which will simplify the entire booking process.This thesis studies seriously on the trend of online hotel reservation and customers’ diversified needs. This thesis also analyzes the current situation of both booking home and abroad. In the thesis, the design of an online hotel reservation agent platform based on.Net technology is put forward. The development of this system is targeting to realize the functionalities including hotel information query, online booking and online payment, at the same time to meet the needs of efficiency, stability and scalability. In this thesis, the current situation of hotel industry is firstly presented, followed with the introduction of technologies and theories including.Net framework, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, etc. which are involved in the thesis. Based on the overall business analysis and requirement assessment, system modules and data models could be generated. These information will form the system architecture and functionality. Then we designed and implemented the system with functions of reservation, order processing, product management and custom service. According to the analysis of data models, we designed a corresponding database connecting these functions. Besides we discussed the parts of cache configuration, database connection, log management and system security. Finally in the functional testing and performance testing, we run some test cases to validate the system and get the output results analyzed.The development process relies on the developing environment of Visual Studio 2010 and C#.Net for software developing, SQL Server 2008 and IIS 6.0 running on Windows Server 2008, C++Builder, Eclipse, Delphi 6, open-source MVC for the rest development. With the analysis of testing results, we concludes that this online hotel agent platform would satisfy consumer’s needs, with every function working as expected and system running correctly, and will be applied into practice. |
