Web Service Palm Hotel Reservation System Design And Implementation Based On

As the economy and technology of China is developing fast and living standards is improving, the hotel industry has developed rapidly. Hotel reservation is very important for hotel managem ent. Hotel reservation business has under gone artificial, telephone and computer. With the rapid developm ent of wireless communication technology and Internet, mobile applications offer the possibility of connecting to Internet and acquiring and dealing with information from Internet for us. It will become a new growth point of the hotel industry to design and develop a mobil hotel reservation system, using existing network resources, combined with emerging mobile network technologies.After studying the reservation and m anagement of hotel chains, guided by m odern software engineering, this thesis analy ze, design and implem ent a m obile hotel reservation system--the Hotel Chain Rese rvation System of Y age, useing UML as design tool. Through the system, mobile us ers can use cellphones and other mobile devices to query and book a hotel anywhere according to their need s. Meanwhile, the hotel managers can manage the hotel easily through the computer on Internet Web side.The Hotel Chain Reservation System of Yage is divided into mobile client side and Web management side. We build the mobile hotel reseravation system at mobile client side, using J2ME(Java 2 Platform Micro Edition) technology. Mobile users can search the hotel information and reserve the best hotel through their cell phones. The m obile application system based on the J2 ME has gradually dominated the field of m obile application because of its c onvenient properties and its ir replaceable trans-platform advantage. This system uses relatio nal database MySQL, and Tomcat server. The hotel reservation server-side uses XFire fram ework to build and publish web services, responsing to the m obile clients. Meanwhile, this thesis uses JSP, Servlet and other advanced technology to achieve inf ormation management of the hotel on the Internet web pages for hotel managers.This system extends the mobility of cell phones adequately. It provides people out of home the opportunity to get the real-tim e information and reservation services of hotels anywhere and anytim e through Intern et. Meanwhile, it provides scientific and efficient information management for hotel managers.
