Colorful personalized object was welcomed in the market, and traditional printing technique is difficult to print products with complexed surface features. Artificial drawing technology has the shortcomings of low efficiency and high labor cost; Except for the pollution problems, transfer printing method requires prepared plates and complexed process. Surface ink-jet printing is a new type of printing technology, owing to its advantages of high-speed, digitizing and green manufacturing features. However, before the technology is put into practical application, many problems need to be resolved, such as curve motion control, ink-jet control, and printing materials.Aiming to solve the problems of space curve movement in surface inkjet printing process, this text has designed a multi-axis motion control system which is based on PMAC. By connecting and configuring the hardware systems, we achieved the synchronous control of stepper motor and inkjet devices. Through the study of key technologies, the motion control software system was implemented, and the feasibility of the motion control system is verified by designing ink-jet printing test. The main research contents are as follows:1. The design of motion control system. According to the requirements of surface inkjet movement, designed the motion of the space curve movement platform, setting up the structure of the machine body of the motion control system; the use of IPC + PMAC motion control system form, meeting the need of curve ink-jet printing control and multi-axis motion control.2. The connection and setting of hardware of motion control system. According to the structure of PMAC motion control system, Complied the connection between the Clipper motion controller, the ACC-34 AT axis expansion card, DTC-8B terminal board,stepper motor driver and stepper motor; Complementing the control of Stepper motor and multi-axis motion platform by Initial settings of the variable in hardware system.3. The research of key technology in inkjet movement process. According to the requirement of ink jet position compensation, motion velocity and acceleration control, Studied the algorithm of interpolation, position compensation and the acceleration and deceleration control.4. The verification of motion control system by designing inkjet printing test of cylindrical substrate.Based on the above research, The multi-axis motion control system designed by the paper meets the requirements of space curve movement, providing the basis and guidance for the subsequent further study of curve inkjet printing.
