Human motion postures based on motion capture device is one of importantissues in virtual reality field. Its research is that body movement data is captured andanalyzed through motion capture device. This research can be applied tohuman-computer interaction, education, medical research, film animation and otherfields.This dissertation focuses on data capture, posture analysis and motion simulationof human motion postures. Using inertial motion capture device, body movement datais captured. According to the mathematical theory in human motion field, bodymovement data is analyzed. Based on above analysed results, a human motionsimulation system, which can handle body movement data, is designed and realized.This research includes following aspects:(1) Inertial motion capture equipment,3D Suit, is used as human motion datacapture tools, by which body movement data is achieved. Then format and content ofcaptured data are analyzed in detail.(2) According to kinematics theory and space-time theory, the key points in bodymovement data are analyzed by normal range of human joint. Using least squarestheory, body movement curves are fitted.(3) Based on the body movement curves, human motion postures free-editing isachieved by Bezier curves’ free-editing features and human movement postures issimulated using captured data.(4) With3D Studio Max, human skeleton model is builded. Using VC++andOpenGL as programming tools, human motion posture simulation system is designedand implemented, which can edit, analyze, and simulate human motion postures.
