Software testing is an effective method in quality guarantee and system defects definition, recently attached great importance to by a growing number of companies. It mainly refers to an evaluation on operation of requested software, to see whether it is in accordance with expected requirements and design, in realization of its goal. Through this process, software quality could be assessed and relevant defects could be corrected. In this way, it ensures that system defects do not lead to unnecessary costs after manufacturing them. Considering its practical use, it is vital to ensure an effective and standardized software testing in projects.Company A is a leading medical electronics company in China. By developing software, it achieves in connection between software and sphygmomanometer, glucose meter, oximeter to measure physiological parameters in human body. In the following paper, the assessment of software testing in company A has been conducted by means of GQM modeling. Based upon its results, an analysis is made about the low efficiency and accuracy, in search of their reasons and providing solutions. As for low efficiency, such aspects could be optimized as device allocation and staff performance. As to low accuracy, such respects could be improved as software testing and working standards. |
