The video transm ission system based on em bedded has becom e a hotspot areas in video transmission.Embedded system has a variety of forms and characteristics. The system we usually used is can be cut,can be cured,high real-time embedded operating system.Linux operating system commercial software withou t any copyright restriction,the world can freely use for free.The system is designed by network centr ic,multi-user,multi-process and multi-thread and other design id eas,which is better real-tim e,powerful and stable,and supporting 32-bit and 64-bit hardware,is the most widely used embedded systems.This paper uses advanced ARM1 1 S3C6410 m icroprocessor-based hardware platform,which using the Linux system of 2.6.36 kernel as a software developm ent platform,and using USB camera capture video images combined with a wireless network to transmit images.WiFi-based video surveillanc e system can work under certain special circumstances where inconvenient to set up lines,not only reduces the overall cost,but also easy transformation.The system uses a double system structure,the entire wireless video m obile platform make up by a m obile platform and video surv eillance platform.The mobile platform use STC89C52 for the control chip,on w hich is mounted ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles in the environment distance,equipped DC m otor driver module,driving motor sports.Video surveillance platform using S3C6410 as the core processor,using the Linux operating system,equipped with cameras to capture images.PC software designed by VS2008,wireless video simultaneously on multiple mobile platforms for monitoring. The main work is as follows.1. The moving platform’s designing: designing the software and hardware for a mobile platform,through the preparation of the program,so that it can receive commands sent from the mobile PC,while the surrounding inform ation transmission distance itself obtained by the ultrasonic sensor to the hos t computer. In the design pro cess adds automatic obstacle avoidance mechanism and automatic Retriever function to ensure the process of moving the mobile platform security.2. Video surveillance platform ’s designing: Linux operating system cropped and transplanted. Linux operating system has a very powerful driver library,select the appropriate drive library,the kernel crop,while the cross-chip driver transplant,for ZC301 camera to capture video information.3. The transmission system design. The system uses Samsung’s S3C6410 chip as video capture and packet tra nsmission control ch ip,via wireless LAN,using the TCP / IP protocol,transmitting the collected video information.4. PC software designed by VS2008. Softwa re runs under W indows system through the IP address of the m achine fixed TCP listening port number to rece ive the data transported form video surveillance platform,and display in the window,and can control the wireless video mobile platform movement.
