Research And Implementation Of Mobile Library Based On Data Mining

Mobile reading has become one of the most important ways for people to obtain information resources with the development of 3G, 4G wireless network, as well as the widely application of intelligent mobile terminal equipment. But the function of mobile library is affected by many factors, such as the hardware, mobile network, etc. It will become the challenge of mobile library that how to meet the needs of readers in maximal degree. In the process of resource utilization, lots of valuable information of the reader will be left. Some association rules between data can be discovered through data mining. But there is still some related information witch is valuable cannot be found, that led to the phenomenon of "data rich but information poor".In this paper, Apriori algorithm in data mining is used to mine the database and find the association rules between data. Due to the low frequency of some readers’ using or attendance, some valuable association rules cannot be found. According to the incomplete association rules mined with traditional Apriori algorithm, concepts of weights, the weighted support degree and weighted confidence are brought in and a new association rule algorithm named weighted Apriori algorithm is proposed. The improved algorithm can find out the association rules with low frequency but more valuable. Information obtained using the improved algorithm could meet the needs of decision makers and the actual requirements.The author designs the main function modules and the backstage database of the system. The system platform is founded and implemented. System functions are realized, such as books retrieval, personalized recommendation, books appointment,user login, my library, notice and announcement, about the library, etc.To verify the function modules, the traditional Apriori algorithm and the weighted Apriori algorithmis respectively applied to the function of books retrieval, results show that the weighted Apriori algorithm is more advantageous.In conclusion, the appearance and development of mobile information service and wireless network technology based on mobile terminal equipment, means not only extending of network information service but also another revolution in social practice to the libraries in colleges. It will promote library to be more humanization, intelligent,and informatization.
