With the continuous development of society, the people’s demand for knowledgeis growing obviously. Especially, the demand of college students on books isbecoming stronger and stronger. This leads to the bigger and higher goals andrequirements of the University Library building. Management system of librarygreatly simplifies the complexity of borrowing books or some other businesses, andprovides readers much more convenience. With a large number of books in circulation,the database-based library management system has accumulated a large number ofbooks data, including lend data, which is much more important.This brings the possibility of providing more personalized services to the librarymanagement system. This paper discusses that through the large size of lend data, byusing data mining methods, we can find lots of information which is potentially useful.On the one hand, it can be help for librarian procurement, and on the other hand canrecommend books to readers that they may want to borrow, intelligently. The researchobjectives of this project is to study how to build this book intelligent retrievalsystem.This paper first introduces the research background of the project, and somerecent research both at home and abroad. Then explores deeply in the applications ofthe data mining techniques with the intelligent retrieval system, analysis the readers’borrowing behavior using association rule mining methods, to identify a specificinterest set of readers to complete the recommendation. On the other hand, usingcluster analysis can be a assisting for the recommendation system.This paper uses the data mining technology to develop the intelligent librarydigital library retrieval system and how to realize personalized book recommendation.
