With the rapid development of Wireless Communication Technology, Embedded Processor and Multimedia Sensor, Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks has accessed to high-speed development period. And as to satisfy the increasing need caused by modern industrial production and life, Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks have gradually affected us from all walks of our life, such as traffic monitoring, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle photography and intelligent security, etc.Wireless Multimedia Sensor Node(WMSN), as part of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Network, plays an important role in Multimedia data acquisition and Wireless transmission. Its performance directly affects the effect of Wireless Multimedia Application. More and more developers have shifted their focus onto the design of High Performance WMSN.This research uses the development platform N32926U1 DN by Nuvoton’s Technology and Micrium’s u C/OS-III Real-time Operating System(RTOS) to design and implement a WMSN. It uses advanced H.264 hardware encoding technology and 88W8686 Wireless Networker Adapter. Therefore, the sensor node has the characteristics of high video compression rate, low bandwidth consumption and low power consumption.The major contribution of this dissertation includes: 1. Transplant u C/OS-III RTOS, Lw IP Network Protocol Stack and Wireless Network Carddriver based on N32926U1 DN processor, 2. Code image capturing and H.264 hardware encoding program based on u C/OS-III RTOS. 3. Design and implement a light weight RTSP streaming media server based on u C/OS-IIIRTOS. Implement video data packet transporting through Wireless Network.This dissertation has implemented the various modules of the system development and finished the various modules test.
