In modern radar systems, radar signal processors are used to complete the measurement target parameters, and the analysis of radar signals. As the core of a radar system, a radar signal processor can achieve sophisticated radar signal processing, and determine the merits of radar performance. Therefore, it is of great significance to evaluate the performance of radar signal processors correctly for improving the national defense capability. According to the thesis task, we design an ATS for radar signal processors which is used to conduct a comprehensive, rigorous testing and commissioning in the development of the products and provide the basis for the performance evaluation and technical improvement of radar signal processors.This ATS of radar signal processors is based on a PXI bus platform and consists of a PXI chassis, an embedded controller and hardware modules. It is used to achieve the power supply, control, signal detection and measurement for the combination of products.This thesis analyzes the test requirements of the combination of radar signal processors, and determines the key technology on this basis, and completes the hardware and software design of the ATS. The ATS achieves the following functions as follows.(1)The communication state selectively between one or more channels of products and the Bus Controller is monitored.(2)The 2FSK modulation in which the carrier amplitude is adjustable is accomplished.(3)The amplitude and frequency measurement of a single frequency sinusoidal signal is implemented by under-sampling.(4)Every sinusoidal pulse width and the interval time between each other is obtained.(5)The measurement of the delay time between signals which are received or sent by different modules is achieved by the PXI synchronized trigger signals.(6)The voltage and pulse width measurement of high voltage differential signals is achieved, and the transmit-receive and the pulse width measurement of TTL level signals is realized.(7)8:1 analog input and output channels is set up by wideband analog multiplexers.2FSK modulation in which the carrier frequency is high and the carrier amplitude is adjustable as well as the amplitude and frequency measurement of a single frequency sinusoidal signal is the research emphasis of this thesis.The ATS software is developed on the Lab Windows/CVI platform. The software help accomplish manual testing, automatic testing, aging test, fault handing and test report generation.Finally, this thesis introduces the test method of every module and the overall system, and analyses the result in detail. The result indicates that the ATS has stable and reliable performance and meet the testing requirements of the products.
