Workflow is a computer solution that deals with the intelligent, automatic and integration of business processes, it can effectively solve high complexity and frequent-changing problems of business processes in modern enterprise and is widely used as research topic on a wide rage of applications in various fields. People can easily implement a variety of business processes problems through workflow management systems. However, there is a lack of research on how to design and implement a flexibility workflow client for mobile electric equipment such as mobile phone and android pad at home and abroad. The mobile workflow client is a key component of workflow management systems, which is the only way to communicate with work items in business processes for people. In all, it’s necessary to develop a universal mobile workflow client for workflow management system, and the mobile workflow client is the extension of workflow client on mobile equipment.The thesis is based on the project program of “research and demonstration based on public large-scale building energy monitoring and operation management system”, which is supported by Science and Technology Major Projects of Guangdong Province. The project program uses the YAWL open source workflow engine as the key workflow technology. The YAWL workflow engine is based on service-oriented architecture that offers rich interfaces and strong scalability that is an excellent development platform for the implementation of the YAWL mobile workflow client.The thesis is aimed at designing and implementing a mobile workflow for YAWL. The mobile workflow client can not only effectively deal with business processes but meet the needs of the energy system. The mobile workflow client is designed to follow the definition of workflow client in “Workflow Reference Model” and its features are as follows: implements work queue view, work items operations and so forth basic functions; and also sort work queue by distance; and what’s more, offers LBS function that solve the issues of mark the positions of user and work items, offers the path of travel route.The thesis analyzes the workflow reference model, the YAWL architecture and key interfaces, and the positions of the mobile workflow client for YAWL under the actual needs of energy system. With the guidance of the software engineering, by making the outline design, coding and testing, the mobile workflow client for YAWL finally complemented. The mobile workflow client is based on the project program “research and demonstration public large-scale building energy monitoring and operation management system” and has come into service.
