Wireless sensor networks is an intelligent monitoring system which is integrated many advanced technologies(such as communications technology, sensor technology, computer technology). It is a hot research topic in the wireless field at present. It has been already widely used in many areas, such as military construction, industrial and agricultural production, environment monitoring, security monitoring, intelligent transportation, health care, education, household and so on. Zigbee technology which based on IEEE 802.15.4 of Zigbee Alliance standard is a low-power local area network protocol. It’s a wireless communication technology which applied to electronic devices within a short range at the low data transfer rate. There are many advantages, such as the low cost, low complexity, high-capacity, high security and so on. So it’s suitable and meaningful after the Zigbee technology is applied to WSN.This paper aims to monitor the channel fading of wireless sensor networks under the drilling site environment. The major contents of the paper are as follows:1)For some existing channel models of wireless sensor networks now, a suitable channel fading model of wireless sensor network is given in the oil drilling field test environment. The nodes data is collected in the experiment, then analyzing and processing. Making sure the channel fading parameters and the fading model. Finally, the experiment shows that this model is consistent with the oil drilling site. Providing a theoretical basis for other research of wireless sensor networks in oilfield drilling environment.2)According to some characteristics of the drilling site environment and existing channel model of MIMO systems. A suitable and space-time associated geometry channel models of microcell MIMO(the oval model) is proposed in the paper. The correlation function is deduced through the assumption of the model. The method of control variable is used to simulate the parameters effect on the correlation coefficient function and determining the model which is suit for the drilling site environment. Laid the foundation for the following design and application of MIMO system.3)On the basis of the wireless sensor network MIMO channel model, three physical forms of electromagnetic wave propagation are combined, a conceptual of electromagnetic space-time complex baseband signal is given in the drilling site environment. The MIMO channel model has been built. It helps the following research of MIMO channel of electromagnetic field.
