With the rapid popularization of multimedia services in wireless communication, the demand for broadband high-speed data communications services is growing. MIMO technology is the key technology of the wireless communication system which can guarantee to improve the bandwidth. And the massive MIMO points out the direction for future development of wireless communication. Both massive MIMO and conventional MIMO technology, the channel modeling analysis is critical for performance evaluation and research of the entire MIMO system. It can promote the further development and application of MIMO technology. Therefore, SCM channel modeling analysis and simulation is completed by analyzing MIMO channel modeling method and principle. And a wideband multi-confocal ellipse model is analyzed for massive MIMO systems. The main work is as followings:Firstly, the modeling principle of MIMO channel, massive MIMO technology and the classification of traditional MIMO channel modeling are introduced. MIMO channel modeling can be divided into physical model and analysis model. The physical model focuses on the simulation of physical transmission of signal. It includes deterministic physical models, geometry-based stochastic models, and non-geometric stochastic models. And analytical channel models describe the impulse response of the channel in a mathematical way without explicitly signal propagation. It includes propagation-motivated analytical models and correlation-based analytical models. One of the most widely used is the geometry-based stochastic physical models. And it is the basis of SCM channel and massive MIMO channel modeling. Then, the spacial channel model(SCM) at link-level of traditional MIMO and system-model are modeled and analyzed. The modeling process of the channel model, selection of user parameter, the generation of parameter values, and the generation of channel coefficient at SCM system level are analyzed in detail. The transmission matrix of SCM channel is deduced, and the channel capacity is analyzed. According to the analytic expression of channel matrix and channel capacity, the changes of the overall multi-input multi-output(MIMO) system capacity are simulated and analyzed when considering the changes of multi-user parameter. We can know that the movement speed of the mobile station, the migration of moving direction, the angle between the transmitter and the receiver signal, and the choice of antenna pattern all may have large effects on the MIMO system from the simulation analysis result. Therefore, optimal performance of the MIMO system is achieved when reference values of various parameters are carefully selected in the practical application of SCM channel, and the factors of environment are comprehensively considered. Finally, the massive MIMO channel modeling is analyzed. The traditional MIMO modeling method is chosen. The geometry-based stochastic modeling method is used by taking notice of advantages and difference between traditional MIMO and massive MIMO. The elliptic model is chosen to be geometric distribution of scatter cluster. It assumes spherical wave propagation instead of a plane waves. And it assumes scatter cluster may not be entirely visible for transmitter and receiver. A wideband multi-confocal ellipse model for massive MIMO systems is analyzed under this premise. And the spatial correlation of this model is analyzed and simulated. Result of simulation shows that the spatial correlation is not only related to normalized interval between the receiving antenna and transmitting antenna, but also the selection of relevant reference antenna. And simulation curve is consistent with the measured data trends in the relevant literature.
