With the rapid development in wireless sensor networks, WSN can be used in a variety of fields nowadays, such as intelligent houses, environmental monitoring, body monitoring, ecological monitoring and landslides monitoring. However, the effectiveness of the monitoring results and the sensor node position has a very close relationship.Therefore, the localization of WSN must to beone of the important research issue.Firstly, this paper gives a simple introduction of the current mainstream wireless sensor network positioning technology and the development trend of WSN.After compared several common indoor wireless location technology, we chose Zig Bee as the technical support of this positioning system according to it has the low-power, powerful networking capability, the advantages of high rate.Then, the paper discusses the basic principle and the key technologies of RSSI-based location, introduces the major wireless sensor network ranging technology and the common localization algorithm based on distance.simply summarize the current RSSI filtering algorithm.On the basis of predecessors’ research of the algorithm, this paper choose the improved weighted centroid localization algorithm of the intersections joined the node positioning error correction algorithm, and completes the above algorithm simulation and results analysis on MTALAB.Finally, this paper introduces in detail the construction of the positioning system platform based on CC2530, expoundssteps of the process of the positioning platform hardware design and software design, the next bit machine positioning platform independent positioning joined the computer aided positioning method, passing VB received the next bit machine data to MATLAB prepared localization algorithm involved in positioning, reduce the localization algorithm programming complexity, improved computing power and positioning accuracy of the system. You can easily modify the PC localization algorithm in different indoor environments. The ability of system to adapt to the environment is improved. Thenthe 26-channel that Wi Fi signal interference is smaller be chosen, we tested and analyzed the positioning performance of the system. Experimental results show that the positioning error of the indoor positioning system in less than 10%, it has a higher positioning precision compared with the CC2431 positioning system. And a summary of the full text and follow-up work is prospected at the end of the article.
