Global positioning system in the outdoor positioning system(GPS) has been widely successful. At the same time, people’s activities have become increasingly rich and varied in the indoor places, so it can greatly improve the quality of life that indoor positioning system, is in urgent need of development and popularization. For example, a visitors in museum, we can provide what he saw exhibits information for him, such services are determined by his position in the museum. Also, it is especially needed that a stably provide accurate position information of indoor positioning system for efficient management of special personnel, valuable assets and indoor monitoring etc. At present,the common indoor positioning technology, with low power consumption, low cost and high flexibility of the ZigBee technology has become a hot research this year, but the deficiencies in positioning precision, real-time and operational aspects, resulting in indoor positioning system to large-scale popularization.The research briefly analysis current indoor positioning technology and development status.According to its own on ZigBee and positioning algorithm research, by positioning scheme based on ZigBee wireless communication network as the core technology and select the finger printing method, analyzes the statistical characteristics of the signal strength experimental scenarios, starting from the statistical results, feasibility analysis of ZigBee ranging signals, optimization of the received signal strength indicator(RSSI) ranging based on equation. Presenting a complete location layout scheme of based on ZigBee using improved location fingerprint method and optimization, finally realizes the indoor positioning system based on ZigBee technology. The system includes two aspects of hardware and software, the specific contents are as follows:Hardware aspect:According to the requirements of the system according to user requirements, design and production of wireless network hardware node. Among them, we focus on design and manufacture of the power circuit and the antenna circuit. The power supply circuit adopts the battery and the adapter dual power supply mode, antenna using 50 ohm impedance matching 2.4GHz design.Software aspect:Designing the preparation of the the software based on Visual Stidio 2013 MFC platform. Combining with the needs of the user can locate monitoring, serial port control, personnel statistics, personnel management and personnel position information and other functions. Connect the SQL Server database by ODBC, the personnel information management and the RSSI list.Algorithm:Starting with the analysis of the sampling data of characteristic data, the ranging equation is modified. Presenting a method of optimization layout scheme of reference nodes, eliminate the influence factor, environmental disturbance and parameters of A to improve the location fingerprint matching efficiency and accuracy. Designing the positioning system user interface, verified by experiment. Finally, the experimental results show that: the layout scheme of reference nodes by location fingerprint method for positioning method and Optimization Based on ZigBee platform can make the accuracy is greatly improved, the organic combination of the two after the positioning accuracy of less than 1.5m.
