With the accelerating process of global economic integration,The market competition will become increasingly fierce. A new product can or cannot meet the demand of the market, is very important for an enterprise. Therefore, the development of new products and reduce shorten development time cost has become a key factor. 3D printing technology belongs to the technology of rapid prototyping. Compared with the traditional processing methods, 3D printing technology has obvious advantages in the aspects of molding material type, the forming speed, equipment operation and maintenance etc. Has the application prospect and great potential development. Although the 3D printing technology in some aspects is still not perfect, but represents a new development trend of rapid prototyping in a certain extent.This paper Firstly, on the current market 3D printer for analysis and research, find out some existing problems, to improve and perfect, the design of new transmission, with the ball screw drive instead of belt drive, and select the type of the ball screw、bearing、stepper motor. Design of a desktop 3D printer. To further improve the printing precision, reduces the production cost of 3D printer. And the key parts of the product are analyzed by finite element analysis and the modal analysis is carried out for the entire device, further make the printing device is optimized.
