The ternary optical computer(TOC) is being developing in Shanghai University. After more than 10 years, we have accumulated a large number of theoretical and practical research results, and we have developed TOC principle experiment system and one thousand magnitude of the experimental system so far.The focus of this paper is to design a parallel photosensitive array for thousands-bits Ternary Optical Computer’s decoder. The main strategy is to make a parallel module which including 16 photosensitive pixels and its circuits and to split joint some modules into a utility parallel photosensitive array. One module will transform 16 three-state optical signals offered by a ternary optical processor into 16 two-state electoral signals concurrently. And then, a parallel photosensitive array will transform thousands three-state optical signals into electoral signals concurrently. Our design makes the module become a low-cost, maintainable and replaceable parallel photoelectric device.And then, we implemented some experiments to verify the stability and correctness of the photosensitive pixels and its circuits and a test by four samples of the module outline to express the convenience of splicing a large-scaled photosensitive array with lots of the modules.In the paper end,the application of parallel sensitive array is introduced. Based on the features of Parallel Photosensitive Array, we present the structure and process of parallel decoder. The main contribution of this dissertation are present as follows:1. The parallel photosensitive array can make all the photosensitive units expose at the same time and then output detection level at the same time;2. The photosensitive module geometry scale is moderate, which is enough to accommodate circuit pin, is portable, convenient to maintain and install.
