Design And Implementation Of Conference Management System Based On Wireless Check-in Technology

Conferences have always been an important part of daily management in governments. With the popularity of wireless network and the intelligence improvement of mobile terminals, conferences become paperless and automated.However, the traditional conference management system is still focused on conference information, data storage of the topics, data query & printing after the conference and so on. Such systems are less effective in supervision and control in conference organization process, leading to disordered organization of conference and poor interaction of information.Based on the traditional conference management system, this paper analyzes the application of computer technology in today’s conference management system and its insufficiency, takes advantage of wireless network to design and implement a kind of conference management system based on the technology of wireless check-in for the government. The system adopts the idea of domain driven design. It divided the users into different roles such as administrators and participants to log in the system according to the role-based access control strategy. The whole system is divided into base management, conference room management, conference management, report management and the participants’ page five big modules.We design a communication protocol to support the interaction process between server and client, which is also the characteristics of the system. Meeting information will be downloaded by the client and participants can check in at the entrance before meeting begins. Finally client uploads the record in order to achieve fast and accurate check in management. Besides, participants are informed about conference information by reliable short message service platform and arranged to reply short message, then by this interactive way the system collects the message to statistics that whether they attend conference.The system is widely used in Guangzhou government. The practices prove the system has played a significant role in scientific management and efficient information exchange, and may get further development in the future.
