As the development of cloud computing, desktop as a service is becoming more and more popular. Cloud desktop can be batch generated through generic template(mirror) or personalized template defined by other organization. Generally speaking, template can be made through the injection of software into the old template, making a new template. As a result, the personalization of cloud desktop can’t leave without the deployment of software. A mature desktop management platform is in need of one feasible software management mechanism.Cloud desktop application can be divided into public and private cloud according to different way of deployment. However, if we use the mode of public cloud which provides virtual resources and software services intensively, the data center has to be maintained by supplier, it will make the experience of end user who access cloud desktop bad due to the large amount of data and higher requirements for network bandwidth. If we use the mode of private cloud, the data center can be maintained by companies themselves, but it can’t realize software integration and centralized management.Based on the above characteristic, I propose the solution using large-small cloud structure, which separates cloud computing business and software application. Small cloud platform means the local cloud desktop platform near user. Furthermore, the user terminal and the local private cloud connect in one high speed network. Large cloud platform is a centralized management system, which manage several local cloud desktop systems and provide unattended monitoring and software repositories service to small cloud.The system consists of three parts: the first part is large cloud platform which provides cloud connection, cloud monitoring and centralized software service. The second part is small cloud platform which provides local software service to template tool and cloud desktop. The third part is cloud desktop agent which is responsible for sending and receiving instructions and other data from small cloud.Large-small cloud structure is used to achieve a set of software management mechanism which provides centralized management and scattered service. This mechanism is built on cloud accessing channel which using token to achieve. The key contribution of this paper consists of two aspects: Firstly, the system realizes a two level software repositories which implements one key application pushing, updating on demand, and automatic recycling strategy. Secondly, the system provides personalized software service, allows the administrator to push and install software on cloud desktop which compensates the shortage of batch deploying cloud desktop by template.
