Research On The Development Of Non-traditional Public Library

The concept of NTPL(Non- traditional public library) in recent years was formally put forward. although the concept of NTPL is relatively new, NTPL mainly includes the community library, University town Library and Industrial Park Library, the three types of Libraries in China have been deeply studied. Because these three types attribute of the same or similar in terms of investment main body, resources construction and management system, and have significantly different with the traditional public libraries. Here these three types are divided into structural system with NTPL. the NTPL defined as the library that is created by non-government organizations, oriented community or not confined inside an organization library. NTPL as a supplementary part of traditional public library, also plays an important role in in the public cultural service system.This paper aims to sort out and summarize the development of NTPL, clarify the development process of NTPL, inductive the basic theory, and analyze the construction mode, management system of NTPL what’s more put forward the corresponding improvement measures. Due to the NTPL is a new concept in the process of research, the difficulty that may be encountered in the development of various types of entities, but studing the system of the NTPL as a whole,not only helps to non traditional public library, but also rich tothe public library system.The thesis consists of six chapters, the first chapter introduces the research background and research status of NTPL. The second chapter introduces the development history of NTPL. The third chapter summarizes the basic theory of development of NTPL. The fourth chapter analysis the macro environment of NTPL by using the PEST analysis. The fifth chapter predict the development trend of NTPL by analysising the development mode of the NTPL. And Chapter 6 is the conclusions.
