With the ever-changing of information technology and rapid development of technological innovation, rich and varied business enriches our real life at an incredible speed, however, the existing communication services are hard to satisfy so many development needs of business. Hence, new communication technology, which can accommodate multifarious business requirements, urgently needs to be addressed. Although traditional telecommunication network, cable television network and computer network have respective features and advantages in their own facets, none of them may fulfill the user requirements of an integrated access since their original intentions are all oriented to a particular business(telecommunication network to voice calls, cable television network to video transmission and computer network to data service). Besides, users have to perform different transactions to different service providers, which would result in much inconvenience and heavy expense burden. From another perspective, mutual independence among voice, data and video causes a largely-wasted investment nowadays. Therefore, there is absolutely a need for a new technique to roll up the three networks into one and making triple-play an inevitable trend.Transmission system of fibre-optical integrated service, which contains user multiplex(tap) module, switching module, management module, source processing module and so on, is a project designed by Optical Communication Technology Lab of Liaocheng University. Thereinto, user multiplex(tap) module is responsible for the multiplex and tap of information, switching module for the data analysis of up-link signal and down-link signal as well as the fulfillment of their corresponding switch, management module for the control of up-link signal and down-link signal, and source processing module for the preconditioning of information.Transmission system of fibre-optical integrated service designs a bran-new frame structure employing single fiber to transmit data. It adopts single-fiber wavelength division multiplex technology to realize the separation of up-link signal and down-link signal. Furthermore, it uses the star network topology based on the backplane exchange between local side and users so as to facilitate the implementation of triple-play.With an eye to development environment, Quartusâ…ˇemployed in this system has such merits as easy usability, friendly interface, rapid input design, lower complexity of circuit design and easy debugging. This system circuit is developed with FPGA, which characterized by low cost, strong expansibility and high level of integration.
