Radar is one soul equipment of fighter plane, for the sake of timely tracking and accurate attacking, the fire control system of air vehicle usually obtains the right position and velocity information of the set targets at the help of the Radar, which applies the hydraulic servo motor to drive the antenna adjusted constantly its attitude according to certain speed for detection.As space afforded to radar is extraordinary constrained, O rings are designed to ensure sealing of the hydraulic servo motor. 5080 nitrile rubber as the hydraulic motor of seal material is used to made into 0-ring for the 10 or 15 aerial oils. One radar and undercarriage of the aeroplane have the same main hydraulic system, and radar has no back of the oil system, oil leakage coming from radar will threaten to the security of aircraft seriously. A strict provision about the radar oil leakage is that radar keeps working without oil seal combined on the sealing interface Within working 30 minutes. And the rule about leakage of quantitative hydraulic motor dynamic sealing is not more than 5 ml within working 60 minutes in GJB2189-94. The sealing performance requirement for the hydraulic motor in radar is particularly stricter than that Military specification requires.According to the working oil pressure、back pressure and installation clearance conditions, this paper has first studied characteristics of internal stress and contact pressure of O ring seal in hydraulic motor by finite element analysis software, and orthogonal tests have verified the results of the finite element analysis. Then, the special adjustment gaskets have been designed and processing, the leakage of motor o-ring seal under different conditions of installation clearance、oil pressure and back pressure. Finally, processing and design of hydraulic servo motor for the low temperature experiment sealing and long cycle life test, the results of test show that the sealing performance meet the requirements of the sealing of the motor.
