Wireless sensor network(WSN) is a self-organization, dynamic topology and distributed communication network composed by a large number of embedded nodes. It often deploys in a more open and unattended environment, so the nodes energy consume too fast may cause the network premature death, or the enemy’s attack make the network paralyzed, therefore the network energy consumption and safety and other aspects of the network are putting forward higher requirements. In order to avoid the occurrence of these situations, so we need to combine the characteristics of the network to design a balancing routing protocol and reliable security policy to ensure safe and normal operation of the network.This paper studies the typical routing protocols and intrusion detection scheme, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of various options, puts forward to suitable for WSN routing protocol and the detection scheme.In view of proposing the network routing problem EEFT layered routing protocol, the scheme improves cluster head election threshold of the LEACH protocol and gives full consideration to the node energy state and the communication distance away from Sink node which impact on the energy consumption of the network. And using the method of region subdivision to built clusters, this improves the distribution of the cluster head nodes and the scale of the cluster in order to make it more reasonable. Considering energy saving at the same time, joined the intrusion detection system to ensure the safe operation of the network. Aiming at the condition of the existing routing protocols lack of security mechanism, propose a intrusion detection scheme based on GA-LMBP algorithm. Combining genetic algorithm and optimized neural network, which makes the detection model to achieve the global optimal solution quickly. With the adaptability and fault tolerance of neural network, this model is more suitable for intrusion detection. Though simulation contrast that EEFT hierarchical routing protocols which joined security mechanism has more balanced energy consumption, long life cycle and a safer network environment. The GA-LMBP intrusion detection system has higher detection rate,lower false detection rate and less storage overhead. We can be seen from the simulation results that the combination of the two strategies used,which reduces the energy consumption of network nodes, increases the security of network and prolongs the network life cycle. Therefore, the combination use of the two schemes are more suitable for WSN nowadays. But it also has shortcomings, the intrusion detection model set up for a long time at the beginning of the network, not immediately detection.
