With the continuous developing of communication networks, businesses relevant to communication services are constantly developing and updating. Traditional audio services and low-speed data services cannot meet people’s daily needs any more. 3GPP comes up with an IP Multimedia Subsystem, namely IMS, which provides a universal business platform for future multimedia services. On the IMS network, customers can enjoy abundant multimedia services and high-speed data services. The multimedia conference is a new type of service provided on IMS network.Multimedia conference is mainly used for the moderator on the conference who can organize the conference expediently through various soft-terminals such as computer and cell phone, or through conference management. Participants in the conference can enter the conference platform through the chained addresses of email and website or various terminal equipments. Multimedia conference mainly provides the functions of transfer of documents and instant message, interaction and playing of video and audio, co browsing, and sharing of whiteboard documents. Multimedia conference tries to provide more means of communication for customers and enterprises.Till now, as for the IMS technique, people mainly focus on the study of IMS network server but neglect the study of IMS clients. However, the most direct interface achieved through customers’ experience of IMS technology is IMS clients. Many researches indicate that over 70% of the effective information comes from visual communication, and graphs and images are important carriers of the information gained by people. Therefore, experiencing multimedia services on the client side become an urgent need for the development of IMS as well as the communication industry.Based on the analysis of IMS multimedia conferencing, this thesis designs and completes the IMS-based multimedia conference management system through applying JAVA language development J2 EE enterprise application framework, and SOAP as the API data exchange protocol specification to provide standard interface.This paper especially studies the following five aspects:1. This paper studies the development of the current meeting management information system, puts forward some current problems, and demonstrates the targets and practical significance of the study.2. In conjunction with the system design and the actual needs of development, the thesis has a study on IMS technology in detail, SOAP technology and infrastructure technologies.3. This paper discusses the actual needs of multimedia conference management, and establishes the corresponding use case model and the signaling interface.4. This paper gives designs to the system from the system architecture, function structure, signaling design, and the control module aspects.5. This paper develops the multimedia conference management system through J2 EE technology to provide enterprises with good services.IMS-based multimedia conferencing management system helps to improve the conference digital architecture and reflects the advanced management philosophy, which will no doubt promote the information construction process of conference management. The construction will organically combine standardized signaling management with the flow of information and control to realize resources digital management and better utilizing the resource repeated rate. The application of this System can enhance the work efficiency of enterprises, and then enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and finally reduce outlay costs.
