In the new millennium, with the science and technology into industrial applications and traditional Internet related technology becoming more and more perfect and mature, the master of science and technology, wireless sensor network(WSN) stepped smoothly onto the historical stage, and became a focus of the research and the chase of all circles at home and abroad. WSN first originated from application in the military field, the most typical of which is to detection and classification of moving target on the ground and low-flying target in unattended ground reconnaissance sensor network. So, the processing power of the sensor node has been widely one of hot topics of research in the world such as the classification, tracking and positioning of the target signal. Even so, the target recognition, tracking and classification process for the sensor network is still a very complicated job. To a large extent, because of the ground sensor network system will be seriously affected by the external environment.Ground sensors can achieve the greatest degree of collection and processing of the target and environment information, which will help to improve the accuracy and timeliness of the target recognition system, and has important significance on the situation assessment and mission decision-making. Compared with the developed countries, the ground magnetic target identification equipment and system is relatively backward in our country. Entering the 90’s, in the promotion of natural foundation and research topic application, a number of magnetic surface detection system research can be carried out smoothly, and obtain the corresponding academic achievements and the accumulation of technology.Here has been clear about the position of subject in the system framework of structure. We define the characteristics of the sensor and the functions in this topic research and In-depth research existing magnetic signal sensor for target recognition between the domestic and foreign and compare with the advantages and disadvantages of signal processing algorithms in the domestic existing each kind of application of target recognition. Aiming at feature extraction and selection algorithm and sensor design for,We have comprehensive and in-depth and systematic discussion in ground targets magnetic signal recognition fields. First of all, from the physical mechanism of ground targets magnetic signal, the qualitative analysis of all types of ground target characteristic and the principle of magnetic signal had been completed. And we establish the motion model of the ground targets moving along sensor in order to research feature extraction method. Mainly in the aspect of software and hardware, we design a ground target recognition sensor for magnetic signals. On the basic of the principle of sensor and magnetic target signal characteristics, we design a recognition algorithm of target motion. Finally, the feasibility of the algorithm is verified through the experiment and field test and actual testing results of the system.This topic is proposed to solve the key problem is how to make the detection algorithm has higher detection rate and lower false alarm rate for all kinds of ground targets. Compared with the existing algorithms and the existing ground targets sensor, the intelligent ground target recognition sensor obviously improves existing sensor technology including the advantages of high recognition rate and high stability, and better suits to large area sensor applications such as battle field and surveillance occasions.
