Absorption efficiency and scattering characteristics of the receiving antenna are important issues of the study of antenna. This article, based on the relevant theories and new ideas of international literature in recent years, through simulation experiment do some modified receiving antenna, calculating their absorption efficiency, and it is found that the absorption efficiency of the array antenna must not be less than or equal to 50%, the absorption efficiency of the array antenna can be greater than 50%, even close to 100%. That is to say the incident electromagnetic wave energy is absorbed completely.The main research content of this article is:This paper expounds the scattering characteristics of antenna and the traditional theory of receiving antenna.Designed the traditional half-wave dipole antenna array, and to calculate the RCS of different numbers array element of array antenna respectively. Through the scattering characteristics of the finite half-wave dipole antenna array simulation experiments, to calculate the absorption efficiency of them, it is found that the absorption efficiency of the finite half-wave dipole antenna array is less than 50%.Based on the above, the half-wave dipole antenna array is installed the finite ground plate forming a new receiving antenna system, and to calculate the RCS of different numbers array element of array antenna respectively. The result show that the array antenna backscatter significantly reduce, the forward scattering is enhanced, to calculate the absorption efficiency of them, it is found that the absorption efficiency of the array antenna is more than 50%, even reached more than 90%.By the half-wave antenna and combination ring antenna array receiving antenna is designed, antenna array is divided into different the number of array units, carried on the simulation experiment, to calculate the absorption efficiency of them, it is found that the absorption efficiency of array antenna is greater than 50%, even more than 70%.
