Traditional mobile bearing network was built based on TDM/SDH network. For the business such as 2G base stations which having relatively small particle size and not so large bandwidth equirements, TDM/SDH can meet the demand of the networkdevelopment. However, with the deployment and development of the 3G and LTE system, data service has become the bearing body. As the traditional TDM exclusive pipe network model of SDH is difficult to support, the construction of packet transport network has become an irreversible trend. In this context, China Telecom group chose the IP RAN technology as the construction of mobile bearing network.First of all, the situation and the future development trend of mobile bearing networks are introduced in this thesis, and the advantages and characteristics of the technique of IP RAN are analyzed. Then the IP RAN network situation of Ningxia Telecom is analyzed, the demand of base station bearing in future and the demand of transmission bandwidth is forecasted. This thesis focuses on the design of the construction of IP RAN network in Ningxia Telecom and the mobile bearing plan for the Ningxia Telecom with the characteristics of IP RAN network, which include the design of the network structure, setting up of the node, interconnecting way of A equipment and B equipment, setting up of the layer 3 routing, configing of IP address and VPN strategy. Finally, the integrated service bearing in IP RAN is analyzed, and the plan of Government&Business enterprise customer’service is designed that will cut over to IP RAN network.
