At present, domestic and international mainstream telecommunication operators have finished the deployment of mature mobile soft-switching network in large scale. All IP bearing and network architecture flattening is the ultimately direction for network evolution.But IP bearing is only deployed in core network presently,the A interface between the core network and GSM wireless access network still uses TDM bearing.It brings some disadvantages: 1. The speech codec is used inevitably during voice call,which affects speech quality. 2. Compare to compression speech codec, the G.711(non compression) speech codec which is currently used in A interface consumes more bandwidth.Apparently, it is a waste of transmission resources.3. The developmnet of disaster recovery in A interface and the network architecture flattening both are restricted. Due to the bottleneck, Ao IP must be implemented.In the paper, the author firstly analyzes the current network architecture and bottleneck problem about A interface, generally introduces important basic principles regarding the mobile soft-switching technology, and then focuses on the conception of Ao IP technology,which includes principles, network structure and the deployment of AoIP.In the second part, the author describes the participation in the whole process of AoIP project in Suqian in detail, including demand analysis, project planning and the implementation of the project. Base on the data analysis, the author verifies the advantages of AoIP technology, which enhances the ability in network disaster recovery and improves the speech quality of voice communication and also saves more transmission resources.In this paper, the author verified the feasibility of the implementation of AoIP in the current network. It provides valuable experiences in the AoIP project implementation and network maintenance for the coming widely implementation.
