In this paper, we have designed a personal accounting system based on the Android system which is one of the most popular smart phone operating systems.First of all, this thesis researches the basic functions of all kinds of financial software and summarizes the advantages of personal accounting system based on mobile terminals. Then it refers to the most popular financial accounting methods and takes the double-entry bookkeeping which is the most accurate and practical one as the basic financial management method of this system. Then it describes the software design and implementation. By referring to the Android programming principle, it is necessary to understand and master the useage of the basic API and components such as Activity, Intent, Service. At the same time, being familiar with using the lightweight database of SQLite on Android platform is also important. Then it describes the hierarchical structure and modules in this system. This system is mainly divided into two layers that are the UI layer and the Service layer. In order to achieve a better user experience, UI interface design is optimized further. Finally, this system is tested and runs stably. It basically satisfies the demand.The system mainly adopts the UI-Service mode which hand multifarious work to the Service process that it will not block the UI process. The main modules in this system are user management module, accounting management module, query management module, statistics analysis module, data management module, consulting push module. Users only need to register an account to enjoy the functionality of accounting, checking balances and analyzing account. At the same time, they can manage their own account, backup and recovery their data, import and export data. What’s more, the consulting push function will provide financial information to users which can help users carry out individual financing.
