The Study Of The Collection Of The Great Events Archive

The great events attract more and more attention to the community with the Beijing Olympic Games, Shanghai World Expo, APEC meetings held in China. Many subjects and areas have carried out related research in the media, public security, tourism, sports and other fields. In comparison, the research in domestic archival community is relatively weak. Most studies focused on the exploration of the practical work and lessons learned, and are lack of a systematic management system. During the study, the author used the literature analysis, case analysis, investigation and other methods.This paper’s topic is the collection of the great events archive, which includes research on the concepts, scope, characteristics and values. Then we analyze the current situation of the great events archive collection in China, pointing out that in reality some problems to be solved. Some suggestions are proposed to do the work well on this basis. The author try to construct a collecting system, which contains a wealth of theory, healthy law system, strong organizational leadership and efficient operation mechanism. We make a contribution to laying a solid foundation for the construction of the great events archive resources in China.
