Design And Implementation Of Laboratory Management System Of Taizhou College

With the ra pid spread of information technology and the ra pid development of computer technology, more and more information have to be managed and processed by computers. Institutions of higher learning are the collecting and distributing cen ter of information development, utilization, communication and sharing. The use of com puter technology to m anage them, such as st udent enrollment, teaching arrangements, archives, laboratories and other inf ormation is an important direction of developm ent. The application of com puter technology has penetrated the various departments of the institutions of higher learning and the development of c omputer technology has provided important technical m eans for the la boratory management in institutions of higher education as well.Laboratory is one of the three pillars of institutions of higher learning. It is the cradle of cultivating innovative consciousness and practice ability talents and the base to realize the transformation of teaching and scie ntific research achievements. Reform of the traditional laboratory m anagement methods, set up a m odern laboratory management system, not only affect the school’s teaching and scientific research level, but also influence the future development of a school.Based on the analysis of problem s existed in the current laboratory managem ent and laboratory management mode on the basi s of both at hom e and abroad, com bined with the current of the developm ent of computer technology, paper proposed an idea to combining computer network technology an d database technology for developing a laboratory management system to solve th e above problem s. In this paper, the laboratory management system is divided into user login m odule, the experim ent teaching management module, lab oratory equipment management module, system management module and report query m odule totally five functional modules, which preferably combined the existed laborat ory management and student inform ation management system.The laboratory management system utilizes Microsoft V isual Studio 2010 integrated development environment to develop, uses Visual C# programming language as development language, uses Microsof t.NET as the developm ent platform, background database uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 database m anagement tools, development mode adopts B/S architecture. System test results show that the test results consistent with the expecta tion, and m eets the design requi rements, fully satisfy the daily lab management work.
