Our country has formed three major telecom operators in the whole business management mode, the competition increasingly rapidly in mobile, broadband market.Communication enterprises operating mode from "technology, network driven" to "market-driven" and "customer driven" transformation. The only advantage of the telecom operators, is to pursuit of high quality personal customers and customer loyalty of enterprise group,which can ensure them has in the competition in the future communication service market The network of high quality, excellent service, explore the enterprise information and internet service with main target is one of the important means to attract customers, this is also affect the strategic focus of all telecom operators. With the development of “Broadband China, optical network city”, optical fiber to form the traditional interconnection between innings and long-distance network extends to the home broadband Internet access, and family access rate is becoming speedily. The concise network, mature industry chain of PON technology, become the first choice for major telecom operators to implement access network reconstruction project. With the development of EPON and GPON technology industry chain, after a long period of evolution, upgrade EPON network has had the technical foundation of large-scale deployment. Fiber prices falling, EPON network deployment costs decrease, and the copper price is rising, the original copper stolen serious hasten telecom operators access network of existing "light forward copper backward" The scale of the EPON network deployment can not only effectively meet the needs of broadband multimedia development, market demand of rural informatization, also can solve the problem of municipal communications pipeline of congestion, the reconstruction of the snow and ice flood problems.In light of the difference between new type of optical access network of EPON technology(FTTx), and original wire access network, New type of FTTx network priority access points down fully, therefore access sites is scattered with large numbers. Compared with the traditional copper cable, there’s great changes brought by the development of the Internet business constantly, all kinds of application in the network mode, technical implementation, business integration carrying, etc. Based on traditional copper cable, it has been difficult to meet the requirements of EPON optical access network maintenance management for previous network testing method and system, Especially in EPON optical access network after the large-scale deployment, an urgent need to provide test methods and tools for optical access network, realize to control the quality of project delivery, network malfunction detection, rapid processing, reduce the project quality management, network operation maintenance cost, eventually improve the customer service level of optical network operation. This paper mainly analyzes the EPON technology in the application of optical access network, this paper introduces the applications of EPON network mode and the carrying of more operations, emulation simulation from a engineering measurement method is stressed, to engineering emulation simulation measurement of equipment resources, concentration and integration of information resources and business information. Supply engineering support means and tools for implementation of concentration and effective final acceptance of work efficiency and quality of project construction, in order to achieve "ODN dumb resource" standardize the management, achieve EPON droop loss management network dual goal, relies the management for the quality of the EPON network, and provide necessary support for EPON network. In this paper, research results provides reference and reference value to the other telecommunications operators as well as the other industry.
